The Life of a Rose

There was once a rose who’s red indeed

In a field full of precious deeds

It was quite shy and afraid of touch

That was why it built thorns around its house

It may look strong and fine

But inside there was a hidden bawl

Raw and edgy at its finest

Fragile and pained at its lamest

The rose was filled with joy

When it saw a hand in close

Wishing to feel love on its thorns

Love is Selfless

“A Forced Love is a Selfish kind of Love.”

Life is about gaining and losing. If you can have everything you wanted, what would be left for the other people to have? We rule our own lives but not other’s—that’s what makes life more unpredictable. One decision will cause a domino effect to some people’s life.

We decide what we can have but not what we can lose—that’s why some people chose to leave. Does love means possessing? Or does love means selflessness? Letting go is never an act of weakness rather it is an act of bravery that despite wanting that for yourself, you chose to loose grip on it for the betterment of everything. We should learn to let go not to set them free but to set ourselves free. Loving someone is not you being happy but being happy together. If you feel the need to force love, maybe it wasn’t love at all. Maybe it’s you forcing a piece of puzzle on a wrong spot—assuming that you are being betrayed by pointing a knife on your chest when really you’re the one holding it. Love can never be forced. Love is selfless.

A Past is a Dead Soul

“A Past is a Dead Soul. You are new—and you are in control.”

Christmas is a celebration of love in general. A highly-anticipated holiday every person in the world knew about regardless of their religion or beliefs. It is one of the perfect events to catch up with the people we care about, to cherish the moment we have. But, do we really need an specific time to finally move forward? Do we really need to be apprised to remember? Love is contagious but it is up to us when and how to let it in. If there’s one thing that acts as a barrier against genuine happiness it is grudge. Past memories are a huge factor that affects who we are today. But will you let grudge take over what’s store for you in the future?

You are better than before, you are way better than the hate in you. Who you were is indeed a part of you but it doesn’t define you as a whole. You can’t change who you were but you can lead who you will be—and that’s one of the greatest thing in life.
